Michelin Bib Gourmand garden kitchen—ancestral antojitos and wood-fire meats down a Tezal dirt road. Tucked down a dirt road behind the Modelrama in El Tezal, Metate Cabo is one of Los Cabos's most quietly acclaimed restaurants, holding a Michelin Bib Gourmand and operating with the philosophy of simple food made with deep care. Chef Roberto Ramos grounds the kitchen in ancestral tools — the metate and molcajete — turning out squid-ink Baja fish tacos on blue corn tortillas, mole, tlayudas, and wood-fire grilled meats in a candlelit garden with fruit trees overhead. Cooking classes are available, and the resident dog Dice is a beloved regular.
